He has contributed to landmark projects such as the Bay Lights installation, SFPark, GrabFood, Grab’s Facial Recognition, and AudioProtect features. Recently at Canva, Jay led and launched Canva Sheets, an AI-powered product spreadsheet.
Beyond shipping product, Jay has shaped the next generation of designers as an adjunct professor at the California College of the Arts and as a speaker and lecturer across China for ACG. His commitment to design education runs deep, particularly his work mentoring designers across Southeast Asia.
